By Rental Car

Coming from Panama City its 4.5 hours to a small town called Sona.
It's your last chance for ATM, gas station, pharmacy shopping etc before arriving to Pixvae. From Sona to Pixvae (42 kms) it takes around 1 hour. It's a very beautiful trip through the lush mountains and jungle. Enjoy beautiful views along the road. We are located on Km No 38, on the left hand side of the road. By Public transportation
Public transportation in Panama is a safe and cheap option to get around the country. Everything is very well connected and organized.
​
Buses are air-conditioned and comfortable. Be aware that bus drivers love their classic Panamanian music which will blast out of the speakers throughout your trip. Just another Panama experience you wouldn't want to miss.
​
From Albrook Terminal in Panama City buses drive every 30 minutes to Santiago and every hour to Sona (that's our recommendation). Ticket price is approx. $9 per person.

In Sona there leaves 1 truck a day to Pixvae in-between 11-12 o'clock. It's a 4x4 Landcruiser and it can get very crowdie in there. You might share a seat with a chicken if you're lucky. A Trip, with what locals call "Chiva" (mountain goat), will take around 1.5 hour and cost $6,00 per person.
By Private Shuttle
We can organize a private shuttle for you from anywhere in the country. The Driver has many years of experience in the shuttle business, speaks English and has a wide knowledge of Panamas history which he is sharing happily if asked along the ride.

By Shared Shuttle

Direct shared shuttle with A/C from Boquete to Sona, approx. $30 per person. Departure at approx. 7h00 am, duration is approx. 3.5 hours. From Sona, you can either take a taxi to Puerto Vidal for a boat ride or take the route with the public transportation (chiva) or go with a private pick-up service to Pixvae.

Shared shuttle services are also offered on the following routes: Sona - Boquete, Boquete - Bocas del Toro on both ways. We can happily help you with transport logistics.
